As a sequel to the 1981 game Galaxian, which became a major success, Galaga is an arcade game developed by Namco. Players take control of a spacecraft and have to face alien swarms. In the game, you must survive as long as possible and shoot down as many alien invaders as you can. The game has a classic 8-bit aesthetic and is fondly remembered by many old-school gamers.

At the top of the screen, alien ships form a formation. The player controls their spacecraft at the bottom of the screen and must shoot down the aliens. The player can move their ship left and right to avoid the enemy shots and can shoot back by pressing the fire button. There are several levels in the game, and as the game progresses, the aliens become harder and harder to defeat.
